Adrienne Ferguson
I am a second-year undergraduate studying biochemistry at Columbia. Prior to college, I had the opportunity to conduct research on synthesizing neuroactive small molecules and probing multicomponent reaction mechanisms using 19F NMR in a medicinal chemistry lab, as well as work briefly in a stem cell biology lab. Now, in the Steckelberg lab, I am excited to learn more about the world of RNA as I investigate viral RNA pseudoknot structures and their effects on host cell machinery. In my free time, I enjoy dancing on Columbia’s competitive Bhangra team, trying out new coffee shops, taking photos, and hiking.
